Join us on Sunday, May 17, for our next regular meeting of the Matthews Artists Guild. (Note the date change, due to Mother's Day on the second Sunday of this month.)
Social time starts at 2:00, with the opportunity to meet and chat with fellow artists. The meeting starts at 2:30, with brief announcements, followed by presentations by artists Doug Stewart and Susan Moore.
Doug Stewart works mainly in soft pastels, creating energetic and bold art that spans a wide range of subject matter. During his talk, he will share with us the “chameleon” effect of soft pastel when it is liquified. Susan Moore works in a variety of mediums including acrylic, oil and cold wax. She will be speaking about her journey through art, the ups and downs, ins and outs and trials and errors - and successes.
We meet downstairs at the McDowell Arts Center, located at 125 East McDowell Street in Matthews. Our meetings are always free and open to the public.
